She shared her career journey, Her Company work culture, and her valuable insights into diversity in the digital marketing industry.

1. Can you tell us about your personal journey and your current position at the agency?

I started my job as entry-level role in a small digital marketing agency and learned lots of things in digital marketing agency. Over time I honed my skills and was headhunted for a social media marketer role at a larger digital agency. I was there for about 2 years. After that I feel I cannot stop my ambitions and suddenly I left that job and started my own digital marketing agency. 

2. How Different is your team? Do you believe agencies should take further actions to diversify their teams?

Our company has a very diverse team because we focus on talent.  It makes a huge difference having a diverse team. More balanced opinions and diverse perspectives give us the opportunity to build customers experience.

3. Do you think there is a gender gap in the digital marketing industry? If yes, what are the main reasons for that?

Yes, there is a gender gap in digital marketing industry. The reason behind that is digital marketing industry is super fragmented. After getting experience in digital marketing people are trying to start their own start-up. As compared to women, men are more likely to do start agency. The women are busy in family and kids and other responsibility, so they are not dared to start own start-up. 

4. Considering the industry vitals, do you think it’s more challenging for women to become leaders in the digital marketing industry? Why/why not?

Yes, absolutely think it’s more challenging for women to become leaders in Industry.

Why?

Because to sit at a leadership table we must struggle of fight so much harder. If women’s stand hard, they are considered as bitch. If they raised their voice they are considered as overwrought. Men just don’t have to deal with the same situation as women. 

5. Do you think Indian Digital marketing industry is back as compared to other countries?

No, I don’t think like this. I think Indian market is active and in boom. now so many people are choosing their career as digital marketer. And they also doing their best. And businessman also invest money in digital marketing to maximize profit and they get better result. It proves that Indian Digital marketing industry is not back as compared to other countries.

6. Who has been an inspiration to you in your life and why?

My mentor in my first company is my inspiration. He has same story. He started his job and after getting knowledge and experience he has started his own start-up. When I was in that company at that time, he also supports me to start my own start-up. He is a great mentor and great learner. He always tries to learn new things in his life and support to all his employee to learn new things.
